The figure in the center is Henry IV (1553-1610), king of France, who was also known as 'Good King Henry.' He was the first French king of the House of Bourbon. The allegorical figure of Justice is on his left and the allegorical figure of Prudence is on the right. The engraving is by Theodor de Bry, a Belgian engraver, goldsmith, editor, and publlisher.
