Man in Time of George III
Légende
This 1907 illustration shows an Englishman in the time of George III (1760-1820). There are no cuffs now onthe jacket and the sleeve is left unbuttoned at the wrist. The skirt is long and full-skirted, but not stiffened . The tie is loosely tied, and the frilled ends stick out. These frills were, in the end, made on the shirt, and were called chitterlings.
