Biorn Asbrand was the hero of Breidviking and a brave soldier. He was said to have fallen in love with Thurida, whife of Thorodd, a Dublin merchant settled in Iceland. Biorn was driven away from Iceland and in a later meeting with Gudlief gave him a gold ring for Thurida and a sword for her son Kiartan. Gudlief took them to Iceland and delivered them.
