The Eastern States Exposition, better known since 1967 as The Big E, is known as New England's Great State Fair. The first fair was in 1916 and founded by Joshua Brooks to help rpomote agriculture and to educate young people with reagrd to skills need to be a good farmer. It is held every autumn in West Springfield, Massachusetts. This vintage poastage of the westerly section of the Fair dates to the 1930s.
